About Us

Ashland Doggy Daycare was established in 2015 with the goal of providing a healthy and safe environment for your four-legged companions. We strive to provide a unique social experience as well as to create a new standard for superior dog care; a place where dogs can come to play, socialize and get all the love they can handle.

On January 1, 2019 Marnie Lahmon, DVM (Owner of Spring Meadow Veterinary Clinic) purchased Ashland Doggy Daycare & More. It is our hope to provide an exceptional daycare, boarding and grooming experience for your dogs and to exceed your expectations.

Meet Melanie, one of our dedicated team members at Ashland Doggy Daycare. She joined our staff in August 2021 and has since been an invaluable part of our daycare and kennel team. Melanie's passion for dogs extends beyond her role, as she has invested in numerous online training programs focusing on dog handling, behavior, group management, and off-leash dog play. At home, she shares her life with two lovely Labradoodles, Bones and Sherman, reflecting her deep love for our furry friends.

Melanie's commitment to her work goes hand in hand with her enthusiasm for building strong and lasting relationships with the dogs in her care. Outside of work, you'll often find her indulging in her hobbies, which include playing video games, reading, and watching movies. Melanie's dedication to her canine companions and her vibrant personality make her an integral part of our Ashland Doggy Daycare family.

Sierra has been a valuable member of our team since October 2022. Sierra brings a wealth of expertise to her role, holding an animal science degree and certification as a dog trainer. 

She has also completed numerous courses on dog handling, body language, group management, and off-leash dog play. Beyond her impressive qualifications, Sierra's passion for dogs shines through her work. She competes with her own 2-year-old Australian Shepherd named Rip in various dog sports, showcasing her deep understanding of canine behavior and training. 

Sierra takes pride in her role at our daycare, where she enjoys teaching dogs how to interact positively and remain calm in group settings. 

In her free time, she and her husband love to explore the great outdoors, often accompanied by their beloved canine companion on hiking adventures.

Jadyn became an invaluable part of our Ashland Doggy Daycare family in March 2022. Her impressive educational background includes attending the ACWHCC Animal Veterinary Science lab, earning certification in pet CPR and First Aid, and honing her expertise in dog body language training. What truly fuels her passion for her work is the heartwarming feedback from our clients, who consistently commend our team for the exceptional care and training their beloved dogs receive. Jadyn's dedication extends beyond her role at the daycare, as she shares her life with a diverse group of pets: an 8-year-old pitbull named JuJu, a lively 3-year-old pitbull mix named Hank, two feline companions named Olive and Dexter, and a charming painted turtle named Fred. Jadyn's commitment to the welfare and happiness of animals is a driving force behind her role at Ashland Doggy Daycare, and her experience and love for pets shine through in all that she does.

Meet Shai, a valuable member of our Ashland Doggy Daycare team since September 2022. Shai has truly distinguished herself in our small dog group, earning the affectionate nickname "The Dog Whisperer" from both her colleagues and our four-legged clients. 

She has extensive training in dog handling, dog body language, off-leash play, and group management to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all the dogs in her care.

Her passion for spending quality time with dogs and getting to know their unique personalities shines through in her work. 

At home, Shai is a proud owner of a black mouth cur mix named Khole, an English lab mix named Rose, and a playful tortoiseshell cat named Peppers. When she's not at the daycare, you'll often find Shai on the softball field, a sport she's been dedicated to since the age of 4. 

Her commitment to both our canine clients and her love for softball make her an outstanding addition to our staff, ensuring that your furry friends are in great hands when they're with us.

Meet Alia, an invaluable member of our Ashland Doggy Daycare team since September 2022. 

With a passion for providing top-notch canine care, her prior work in dog kennels has finely tuned her skills to an exceptional level. 

Her dedication to the well-being of our furry friends is unwavering, as she has undergone extensive training in dog body language, dog handling, group management, and off-leash dog play. Her genuine love for every dog and their unique personalities shines through in her daily interactions with them. 

In her own fur family, Alia has a lively boxer named JJ and a charming cat named Tater. As a devoted mother of a 5-year-old daughter, Alia cherishes quality time spent with her loved ones, reflecting her warm and caring nature that she brings to our daycare each day.

Meet Tori, a valued member of our Ashland Doggy Daycare team since April 2022. Tori's journey in the world of animal care began at the Ashland County W. Holmes Career Center, where she excelled in the animal vet science program. With a passion for animal well-being, she holds certifications in Elanco Fundamentals of Animal Science and Veterinary Medical Applications, along with specialized training in pet First Aid and CPR. Tori's dedication extends to online courses covering dog handling, body language, group management, and off-leash group play.

Tori finds immense satisfaction in witnessing shy or nervous dogs blossom and reveal their unique personalities. Her commitment to the welfare of our furry guests is further reflected in her own life, where she shares her home with Max, a 6-year-old lab. Tori's expertise and enthusiasm make her an invaluable member of our team, ensuring your beloved pets receive the best care and attention at Ashland Doggy Daycare.

 Bri has been a valued member of our team since July 2023. Bri's commitment to excellence is evident through her completion of courses in dog handling and dog behavior. Currently, she is honing her expertise in off-leash group play and group management, demonstrating her ongoing dedication to improving her skills.

Bri's genuine love for dogs shines through her daily interactions with our four-legged guests. She eagerly anticipates her workdays, cherishing the opportunity to provide affection and care to each dog in our facility. 

Beyond her work at Ashland Doggy Daycare, Bri's heart belongs to her own mixed-breed companion, Daisy, a three-year-old bundle of joy. She relishes quality time spent with her husband and Daisy, and her passion for plants adds an extra layer of warmth and greenery to her life. 

Bri's enthusiasm and expertise make her an integral part of our staff, and we are proud to have her as part of our team.

Meet Tracy, a member of our Ashland Doggy Daycare team since August 2020. Tracy plays a crucial role as one of our weekend kennel attendants, ensuring the well-being and happiness of our furry guests. Tracy's love for dogs extends beyond her professional life; she has a canine companion of her own named Parker. What she enjoys most about her job is the opportunity to work closely with the dogs, getting to know their unique personalities, and providing them with a safe and enjoyable experience during their stay at our daycare. Tracy's passion and dedication shine through in her daily interactions with our four-legged friends.

Deb became an integral part of our team back in October 2007, initially joining us as a dedicated kennel attendant. Over the years, her passion for pet care and grooming shone through, propelling her into the role of our skilled groomer. Specializing in small breeds, Deb brings expertise and a personal touch to every grooming session. At home, she shares her life with adorable Shih Tzus, a testament to her love for these furry companions.

Meet Britani, our newest groomer at Ashland Doggy Daycare since September 2023. Armed with certification from the Paragon School of Pet Grooming, Britani continually enriches her skills through ongoing online education, focusing on dog body language and client communications. Her dedication extends beyond grooming tables—she thrives on forging connections with her clients, understanding their preferences, and fostering comfort for their pets. For Britani, the most fulfilling aspect of her role is witnessing pets experience improved well-being, whether it's liberating them from uncomfortable mats or tending to their paw pads and nails.

Beyond her passion for pet care, she shares her home with an adorable furry family: Pierre, her orange tabby; Eleanor Rigby, the charming calico; and the feisty grey tuxedo, Mama Mia. Recently moving in with her partner, Britani now cares for three more adorable companions: Zander, the Siamese; Willow, a longhaired tabby; and Layla, the playful Border Collie mix.
