Training Options

Our experienced trainer will offer one-on-one sessions with your canine companion throughout the day, while they spend their evenings and weekends at home with you. Should your pup receive approval for daycare, they can also take advantage of ample playtime with their four-legged friends at no additional charge.

Requirements- 

The dog must be dropped off each morning by 8 am and picked up before 6:30 pm. 

 You will also receive access to our private Obedience training Facebook group. 

Additional training days can be added for $50/day

Want your dog to have the freedom of being off-leash? 

We offer e-collar training as an add-on option to all our obedience programs.

*Package must be completed within 3 months of starting 

 Our 3 and 4 week board and train programs combine balanced training techniques with a focus on individual learning styles to bring out the best in your dog! Our programs are designed to cater to the unique needs and personalities of each dog, ensuring a personalized and effective training experience. We offer optional e-collar training for increased reliability and off-leash freedom.

The most commonly achieved goals with our board and train programs are:

• Strengthening the bond and enhancing the relationship with your canine companion
• Improving  leash manners
• Improving manners within the home
• Teaching your dog to be calm when needed. Giving your dog an “off” button
• Crate training
• Teaching obedience commands like sit, down, stay, come, leave it, and heel
• Addressing mild reactivity issues
• Introducing your dog to various settings and reinforcing learned skills with distractions
• Assisting your dog in acclimating to other dogs and people, enriching their social experiences
• Laying the groundwork for advanced training programs, including CGC (Canine Good Citizen), rally, advanced obedience, agility, and service dog training, which require a higher level of control
• Off leash training utilizing the e-collar

Owners are sent video and photo updates showcasing their dogs training during the duration of their program. 

After completion of the training, the owner will be provided with a 1-hour one-on-one session which will detail everything their dog does, how to handle them, and how to properly control them.

Mandatory 1 hour follow-up lesson 2 weeks after your dog goes home, if this lesson is not attended the owner gives up free refreshers.

These programs are ideal for owners leading busy lives or those lacking the time to initiate training foundations but are committed and motivated to carry on with the effort required to uphold the skills initially instilled by me during the training program.

Add e-collar training for $275

For those who are unable to attend group classes, we offer private lessons. We understand that each individual situation is unique, and therefore provide customized training plans for each and every client. 

Each lesson is 1 hour.

AKC S.T.A.R Puppy- Tuesdays from 7pm-8pm

 Ideal for younger puppies, focusing on socialization, puppy behaviors, intro to obedience, and building engagement. Topics covered- This class focuses on items that are listed on the AKC Star Puppy test. https://www.akc.org/.../canine-good-citizen/akc-star-puppy/ 

Basic Obedience- Thursdays 7pm-8pm

 Teaches basic commands, house manners, and social skills through positive reinforcement.  Topics covered- Loose leash walking, sit, down, recall, no jumping and introduction to the place command.

AKC Canine Good Citizen- None at this time

Prepare for the AKC CGC test in this 6-week class. Learn leash walking, crowd navigation, sit and down stays, recall, and more.

Topics covered- This class focuses on items that are listed on the AKC CGC test.

Reactive Foundations- None at this time

 This class is only available for Ashland Doggy Daycare clients who would like more practice helping their dog be calm walking past or being near other dogs or people 

 Our e-collar (remote collar) training is ideal for owners who want to learn how to use a remote collar safely and effectively in order to improve obedience, off-leash reliability, and social skills.  

E-Collar with quick release strap- $275  

All dogs must meet our vaccine requirements for dog obedience training classes. Puppies are required to have their first DAP, Bordetella & a negative fecal.
